My final session was at the end of the day which means I had grown tired. By the the fourth painting session, I had grown slap happy and careless. I moved to the rear of the inn and attempted to paint the rock formation on the other side of the Kanawha river. The late afternoon sun highlighted the rocks and created a lovely reflection. I must say, this one is not my personal best, but I'm glad I gave it a go. I hope to return to Glen Ferris before the weather grows cold. Perhaps by then, the color will be more intense. I would love to try this view again on that day along with a repeat of the power plant view. Truly, this was a wonderful plein air excursion.
