I like old bicycles, and enjoy using them in paintings. I have four old bikes stationed around my yard in flower beds, and this is one. However, I've taken artistic liberty and changed the color from orange to blue. This is actually a study for a larger piece. I've taken the time to do this one in hopes of "working out problems" that will surface. Problems have a way of doing that. I've honed in on some changes/adjustments that will be made even here in this miniature version. As a child, I remember being given an "etch and trace," a a triple-layer flip notebook. Using a felt tip pen, I could draw a doodle, lift the top page, and said sketch would disappear. I see these items during Christmas sometimes in toy departments. They make great stocking stuffers. For some reason, I am reminded of that...my elaborate doodle.
