Small Town, USA Ashland's Urban Park

Relatively new, the urban park is a lovely oasis on Ashland's court square. The spot has provided the backdrop for photo sessions, weddings, and even plein air painting. ...such a great way to transform an urban eyesore into something uniquely picturesque.  With the modeling assistance of Ashland's city clerk, Chelsey Wynn, a figure was painted making use of the park's benches and the library loan station located  nearby. On this lovely, sunny morning a figure is relaxing in the warm sun while reading. This is one of  the 28 paintings of Ashland in the Small Town, USA exhibit that
will be displayed at the Clay County Museum on Ashland's square on August 18 during the Yellow Meated Watermelon Festival. Don't miss this!!
