The question is often asked, "What is your favorite subject to paint?" There was a time when I gave a specific answer such as landscapes or animals, but now I simply reply that I am drawn to anything that has an interesting light pattern. Buildings, especially old buildings, always are in the company. This image was painted from a photo taken in Savannah, GA, which is full of "interesting subjects." I squirreled away the photo, hoping in time, I would use it. This resulted. I like to image who lives within and what he/she is like. What is the story behind the doors?
