The afternoon was spent in this beautiful place, Coonskin Park. Thankfully, I could take advantage of shade trees there in the sweltering July heat. My subject was another shade tree across the way with the pond in the background. My goal was to capture the sense of peace in that place under the spreading coolnesss of that big tree. After I get finished and take a hard look at the photo of my work, I always see mistakes and changes I need to make. I should start making myself notes, listing those observations. Field work is supposed to be a time of learning. Making notes about needed improvement should help reinforce that process.
