On my third visit to Kanawha State Forest, I struck out. Yes, sometimes one just flubs the dub. On Friday, I attempted to paint one of the walking bridges that crosses the creek. The early morning light kissed the bridge and created a lovely dark shadow under the bridge and across the water. I had high hopes, but I couldn’t seem to get it together. Sometimes it happens. One has to learn from it and press on. I will live to paint again. Maya Angelou said, “Doing a little bit is better than doing nothing.” Today I did a little bit.
