Today was clear and mild, so I headed outdoors to the Poca public boat access. Despite the poor job I did painting, I thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors on site for the first time in weeks. Everything seemed gray, and I failed to get values dark enough. The background trees need to be much grayer, as is obvious in the photo. Everything seemed to be the same color, and I kept applying paint with little results. However, any day I’m painting outside, I consider a well-spent day despite coming home with a bummer of a painting. Like Scarlet O'Hara said, "Tomorrow is another day. I'll think about that tomorrow."
