Four years ago, I was in Weston, WV never suspecting that in the near future I would be a WV resident. Certainly, I didn't realize that WV points of interest would become painting material.While in Weston, I became aware that Stonewall Jackson was a native of the area, and several points of interest involve the name Jackson. This lovely mill is one of those points of interest-Jackson's Mill. Like so many places, this place deserves a second and third visit. As a WV resident, I plan to return to this spot, for I only took a photo which I used as a reference for this painting. The history of the spot is of interest, and I want to go in for a closer look. But for now, this painting will have to do. Hopefully, it does justice to the location.
