View from Glen Ferris Inn 11x14

In October, I stayed at the Glen Ferris Inn for two nights while painting the local scenery. I came back to the inn late one afternoon, and the afternoon light cast golden rays across the river which flows directly behind the inn. I was charmed by the sight; thus, I spent the rest of the afternoon right there within a few feet of my room and couldn't have been happier. Today, while the winter's first snow lay on the ground outside, I revisited that warm day in October and that lovely sight by tweeking that plein air painting. Painting allows me to travel and see wonderful places, even if it's only within the confines of my mind on a  cold and snowy, disagreeable afternoon.
