I returned to St. Alban/Nitro Bridge in the early morning which meant the light would be from behind me, a totally different effect from previous visit. I normally use an 8x10 panel when painting plein air simply because of ease of mobility. However, in evaluating the end result of my work, I see that the bridge supports are far too close together, a mistake I made on the initial attempt. I've done it again! I'm either going to need to make the bridge much smaller with a more distant view or get a more rectangular canvas. I will not be deterred. I will repeat until I get the dimensions correct with this lovely view; I'll become a regular fixture at this roadside park if I need to. ...nice place on this lovely morning.
