As long as I can remember, the little barn has stood there, nestled in a hollow by the side of County Road 31 en-route to Cheaha State Park, AL. Now the little barn is unused, in disrepair, and tilts shyly with the weight of time in a stand of hedges that hide it from sight. I loved it then, and I love it now, despite its condition. More than once the barn has been the subject of my painting, and it will probably be so again, if only from a memory.
