Open Air in Nitro

In my ongoing effort to paint outdoors, I returned to 40th Street in Nitro. The outbuildings of Lisa Lipscomb were today's subject. The morning was cloudy, which rendered the weather more comfortable, but with no direct light source, the values were darker and more difficult to achieve. Hopefully, I can return and catch  different lighting, but these red buildings were fun to paint even on a cloudy morning.  I am grateful to Lisa and her mom for their hospitality. Painting outdoors is always a joy.
