In an effort to improve figure painting, I've taken to painting the faces of family members on birthdays. It's practice for me and a token of a birthday gift for him/her. Sometimes, I'm not particularly proud of the piece, but it's good for laughs if nothing else. I'm MOMMA, so they tolerant my dogged attempts. ...so, Nandra, today is your day. Happy Birthday!!! I attempted to capture the joy you have brought to this life and the pride I feel when I witness the woman you are and role you play in the lives of others. I am overcome with gratitude and marvel at God's grace. I love you with all my heart.
