My efforts to improve my figurative painting continues. Some days, I feel like I'm improving, and then...a dud will raise its ugly head, and I have to battle with discouragement. I will not be denied. Although I did not paint today, I did watch/listen to an instructional video on portrait painting and practiced some sketching. This Santa was painted a few weeks back. I used the palette suggested by this video, and I was proud of the skin tone. Since then, however, I have produced some pieces of which I wasn't so proud. Practice Practice Practice
