After some final tweaking, this 18x18 on stretched canvas is ready for a home. The goal here was to spotlight the bike and blooms. Their light values contrast with the darks of surrounding greenery and tree stump, thus directing the viewer's eye to the foreground. (That was the plan, anyway.) I consider this a whimsical piece that makes me smile. One of the many benefits of art is the sense of joy it creates. I would hope the viewer would associate this image with a happy moment or memory.
