I began this little piece as a plein air piece and finished it today. This was a pleasant view to which I want to return. I set under the shade of the tree and painted this view across the back of my friend's pasture. The stirring breeze had a cool sweetness that made me want to enjoy that moment forever,
and I couldn't help but think how pleasant it is to do what one loves.
