This morning I began painting on Airport Road with the sunrise and didn't stop until 12:50. Exhaustion forced me to stop, pack up my gear, and head to the house. The location was the home of C.D. Mitchell. I have memories of going to this house as a grade school kid. My friend had recently purchased a horse here, and I was with her family when the horse was loaded for hauling to its new home. At the time, I never dreamed there would be a day I would return to paint some of the views on the property. This is one of three red barns; naturally, I had to paint them all. My first session was a sunrise view across the pasture, which I will return to first thing in the morning. The sunlight dictated my choices, so I moved to this barn view when sunlight forced me to move. As always, there are mistakes, but I got enough information to paint an expanded version in studio.
