Small Town, USA...City Limits on Tyson Road 11x16

As a kid, I always called Tyson Road the "back way to Lineville," and I'm not sure at the time if Tyson Road had even been decreed with its current name. The way was simply the old road to Lineville, the one used before Hwy 9 was constructed. The road has changed quite a bit especially within the city limits. Housing has grown in that direction, yet there are views on the old road that are as I've always known them. When I have time, I often drive to  Lineville that way just for old time's sake. A good friend and I spent many summer days horseback riding on Skyline Drive, and we were always cautioned about "getting on that highway," which was Tyson Road. As a kid, I considered it "in the boonies," but now, not so much. When Central High School of Clay County was located on Taylor Road, Tyson Road gain traffic and prominence. The view at the city limits sign looking toward Ashland catches a nice afternoon light dancing on the curving asphalt.
