The Robbins' House is a large piece on which I'm currently working. This day was spent trying to get as much done as possible. This is supposed to be finished in time for me to mail at the end of the month. I feel somewhat pushed. The angle of the house makes everything harder: the banisters, concrete blocks, etc. However, it is coming and unless I run into a snag, I think I will have time to get this done without getting all angst. A commission piece is always harder because it isn't something I would choose to paint. Not having an emotional connection dimishes the joy of anticipation while painting, but commissions are simply part of the work, so I go with it.
