After working on a commission piece as much as possible for the day, I picked up with a piece that was started before Christmas, The Collar. I took the photo that I'm using for reference while visiting an old barn. I was drawn to the light that cast across an old mule collar that was displayed. A strong light and shadow contrast always makes for an interesting image, even an old collar. Subjects to paint are everywhere, and I can't imagine not having something that I want to paint. My problem is getting to what I want to paint!. There is so much!
