Small Town, USA Cragford Road

The view from Cragford Rd. looking northwest toward the courthouse is a cross section of forms. I walk this street often, and the morning light does an interesting number on the buildings, tombstone granite, and foliage. I should have eliminated some items for the sake of "art," but I couldn't decide which needed to go.I have too many edges with the buildings, too much overlapping. I certainly couldn't dispose of the Baptist Associational office. That's a crucial part of the view. I couldn't let Bro. Rusty and Cheryl disappear. We need them. Sheryl Bonner house? No, she has to stay. We couldn't do without her. The granite slabs in the cemetery make it interesting, and that magnolia tree is beautiful and provides a great shaded area to the view.   All those things are part of what makes this view unique, so it is what it is...crowded. As always, I will need to work on this, but I think I will like it, a slice of Ashland.
