The morning was spent in front of Helen's Beauty Salon. This view looks right on the east side of the "business district," with a clear view of Police Department and Sunshine Cleaners on the north side. A perfectly drawn image you do not see. The perspective of the street and the old hardware building is WAY OFF, but I'm trying to be kind to myself, enjoy the process, and come home with an idea of what it should be. Mistakes can be remedied in the studio. Helen Norred reminded me that this building use to be the telephone company office (Tri-County). That nugget of information had slipped into the back files of my memory. The weather was glorious...a perfect day to paint outdoors.
