Small Town, USA City Limits Hwy 9 South

Double Bridges is the age-old name for the boundary between Ashland and Lineville on Hwy 9. In the days of Ashland/Lineville school rivalry, this was the entrance into enemy territory, no man's land. Proceed at your own risk. No longer does it hold such ominous significance. However, it does mark entrance into either town by way of Hwy 9. Consolidation of the county schools marked an end to the spirited, sometimes bitter rivalry. It is only fitting that Clay County Central Junior and Senior High Schools are located close to this spot. Looking at this photo, I see details I need to improve/ correct. The tree to the rear of the billboard looks dead. It's only leafless and needs a change of shape. The city limit sign (the point of the painting) is not legible. That's another detail that has to be remedied. One of the many benefits of taking photos of the painted  image is problems not seen with the naked eye pop off the screen. ...such a mystery why I don't see them before hand.
