Small Town, USA. The Blue and White

Forbes Fortune 500 magazine publishes an annual listing of top five-star restaurants. The likelihood of this establishment being on that list is slim. The chances of Gormet magazine doing a two-page spread highlighting the cuisine here are practically non-existent. If I were you, neither would I hold my breath for even Southern Living to spotlight this place as a destination to experience culinary euphoria in the southern tradition. However, for a piece of local color, the Blue and White is in a league of its own. The history of this place dates back to the dawn of eternity when locals (now grandparents and great-grandparents) circled the place and eventually parked their vehicles. Those of more casual disposition sat on hoods. The Lineville foil to this establishment was the Red and White, which has long since disappeared. The Blue and White, however, still stands and serves up. I'm always amazed at tag numbers in the parking area, so it continues to have its own unique appeal. Here's to you, Blue and White...now, let's go have a burger. I'm in.
