Work in Progress 8x8

While plein air painting, I took several photos of the location. It was cold overcast day, and I truly enjoyed trying to capture that gray coldness on canvas. This scene was in the front yard, and I was touched by the poignancy of the grayness of the day coupled with the empty tire swing. There was  a sadness that I found particularly appealing, perhaps representing the passage of childhood. There is a lot to be done here, and I do I hope that it works for me.
