The Original Cracker 11x14 $90.00

Being exposed to episodic cowboy shows while growing up, I just naturally thought cowboys, cattledrives, and the cattle ranch scene were strictly part of the Western scene, a life that was only possible west of the Mississippi. Only upon moving to Florida was I made aware of the Florida cowboy and the history surrounding the cattle industry in the Sunshine State. Using whips to manage the herds, these cowhands drove large herds across the peninsula to seaports. The cracks of their whips could be heard from great distances. ...Hence, the nickname of "crackers."  Truly, this was a special breed of cowboy.
