Santa's Sleigh Ride 16x20 Sold

The closest I have come to a real sleigh ride was years ago. I was visiting with a friend whose family owned and rode horses. They owned what was called a "ground slid," a wooden contraption that had no wheels, but was literally dragged by the horse. The sled was used for hauling items on a farm and not intended for a joy ride. In fact, it was an excellent opportunity to maim oneself. For instance, it would have been easy to get a foot caught under the sled while in motion. I shudder to think what could have happened. I'm not ADMITTING to anything, understand. I'm just speaking theoretically...This painting, however, is of a much safer ride. All bundled up with Santa holding the reins, these kids are having a blast of  holiday outing. This piece is on a museum wrap 16x20 canvas which does not need a frame and is on display in the home of my nephew.
