When I begin a painting, I am truly excited, can't wait to get it on the easel. If everything goes well, I am fine, but if I run into difficulty, which happens more times than not, I get nervous. My fear is that this "winning idea" I had is not going to pan out; it's going to be a royal flop. It's at that point, that I start procrastinating and lose my enthusiasm. I begin to tire of the whole project and look for reasons to scrub the effort. Experience tells me this struggle is just part of the creative process. Art is about problem solving, and sometimes I get lazy. This work in progress is one that I haven't lost heart with as of yet. I think I will like it. Time will tell the tale. Mules and I...we have an understanding.
