The mill is still and vacant these days, but in its prime was a hub of activity and commerce. The history of this place dates back to the civil war and is worth the read. The only action it sees these days however is a trade day held by the city of Rock Mills. This small painting was painted from a history buff's photo. I enjoy painting old buildings, and this one has always appealed to me because of location, history, and loveliness when approaching Rock Mills . Hopefully, it will be with us for many more years.
