By now, the old barn is probably gone to make room for something prefabricated. When I saw it 10 years ago, the structure was caving in, standing on promises alone. I am always amazed how long a old building can stand without collapse. This old barn's location on the knoll of a hill exposed it to those knife-edged winter gusts in the Tennessee hills and blistering heat of summer. I have painted her in several versions. I thought she deserved that much. She always "did me proud." This 8x10 is wonderful gift for one who needs a spot of rural charm and a reminder that time lends a dignity that is like no other, and the price ($45.00) is right.
