After working this one up from a plein air session, this piece underwent some adjustments in the studio. I wasn't after a duplicate of the real life scene, as you will see disparities if you are searching for them. Instead, I was after a sense of the place, recognizable without being a photo copy. With the courthouse in the distance, it would be difficult for a local to not identify this location, for the courthouse dominates the skyline of little city. Small town, America-
This is such a great representation of your town! You should have an art show dedicated to your paintings that you have done of your area and call it Small Town America.
