Waiting this One Out 20x20

Loneliness can be an unkind companion; however, if allowed, loneliness can be a supreme teacher offering tremendous insight. This 20x20 figurative offers an opportunity for reflection about loneliness.  What is the situation here? Is this young woman, obviously dressed for an outing, waiting for another who is late in showing? Has she been stranded? Is she lonely? Who is she observing?  What is she thinking? Body posture indicates an relaxed attitude. What is the deal with the rose? Has she arrived at a conclusion, possibly made a decision. She seems comfortable in her solitude. I think I like this young woman for some reason. This painting is destined for the Carrollton Art Festival in October, and I'm predicting this piece will resonate with some kindred spirit who understands exactly what's going on with this young woman.
