"You'll have warts."

That's what my mother said would happen if a frog touched you. I didn't care for playing with frogs, so the wart prospect wasn't a fear.  However, this young girl knows no fear and appears to be fascinated with her friend. Is there credibility to that old wife's tale?? I need to check on that one...never have given it a thought. This is a value study for a larger piece, in color of course, that I plan to attempt. Value is a term applied to the degree of lightness or darkness in a given color.  After struggling with the last two large pieces due to impetuous painting process, I am trying to clean up my act. ...think...plan...solve problems beforehand...The process here involved mixing 3 to 5 values of gray (no more than that). After sketching the image with a thin wash, the image is painted using the gray values. Since downloading this image, I've already noticed adjustments needed in value. The values of the color used should be the same value as the gray study. Even those the colors are different, the values should be the same. That's the plan...yeah. ...sounds easy enough.
