This painting of a mare and foal was inspired by an ad in a magazine. Very simple design, but I have an affinity for horses, so it's been one of my favorites of what I've seen since being on the job. I'm beginning to like this job, by the way. I'm learning a little about art, which I never imagined doing, but I'm also learning about people who "create art." I've learned that it's not about raw talent or a "gift" from the muse, but rather it's simply a LOT OF WORK. I would say it's about 20% talent and 80% just plain hard work, enjoyable work, but work just the same. I will use the word "passion" for lack of another. Who knew???
