Woodrow here, and today I'm showing a painting that rings my bell. This old boy is enjoying himself while playing the fiddler. He just looks happy, and I like happy on people and mannequins. Perry is trying to produce more pieces involving music or musical subjects, and this one was influenced by a craft festival magazine with musicians on the cover. She picked the fiddle player out and made him "hers," so to speak, and this guy was the result. She isn't finished, but I noticed she signed it. Evidently, she just signed the painting while she had the right color on her brush. I just work here, and sometimes I have no clue what she is up to. I wonder what she considers NOT FINISHED about this painting. I'll have to ask. While I'm discussing that with her, I need to tell her to stay away from those fluorescent lights; the glare on this photo is not flattering, on the fiddler or yours truly.
