DEAL OF THE DAY

This intimate view of teapot and tea is today's deal; China Town, Up Close is an 8x10 that is priced at $25.00 plus any postage that would be incurred.  I am a hard-core coffee drinker, have been since childhood. I consider sweetened coffee drinks (lattes, mocha, etc.) desserts, not serious drinking coffee. They are good, BUT AREN'T COFFEE. Because of my conservative coffee views, hot tea was never seriously considered either. Sadly, my narrow views prevented my enjoyment of one of life's small pleasures. It was not until I went to England did I come to relish the tea scene. Upon returning home, I started collecting teapots and small tea services. I even went on a scone baking binge trying to discover the perfect recipe.  Consequently, I  have developed an relish for hot tea, not as a breakfast drink of choice  (nothing can replace a cup of coffee), but as a nice treat. I am convinced if the world leaders sat down at 4:00 each day and enjoyed a nice cup of tea together, world peace would be achieved. There is something emotionally therapeutic about the the ritual of "having tea." Of course, the Chinese were the originators of this concept. They put tea on the map, maybe I should say table,  centuries ago, and I am grateful. Let's go have a cup of tea.

Note: Woody has a bad cold today and is not working, which accounts for his not taking care of the blog. He attended Ashland's Fun Day on Saturday and got overly excited. That and the heat set him back. He'll no doubt  be back tomorrow.
