Today I began the final mural for AES before the school year gets cranked. This mural is for Barbara McClean, a newly hired teacher who is excited about the approaching year. She settled on a country theme, which is certainly not limited when it comes to images. The space that I'll be working with is two wall areas, each 10 by 12 feet. (I meant to measure , but forgot before I left for the day.) One wall has a mock roof extending across the width of the space. Two closet doors will be in cooperated. The plan is for this wall to look like a front to a farm house. Will it??? Of course! The second wall will provide the backdrop for a raised platform and screen. This backdrop will be a pasture containing, yes, farm animals. Hopefully, this will be a whimsical menagerie of critters. Old McDonald never had it it so good.
