This guy was displayed in April in the Battle of the Brushes Exhibit at LMO Gallery in Talladega and was spirited away by a chicken lover. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting that person, but I suspect she/he among the throng of people referred to as WLCL, or World League of Chicken Lovers. Of all the work displayed during those weeks (landscape, figurative, stilllife, etc.), he/she chose this feathered fowl. Yes, only a card-carrying WLCL member would make that choice. Man of Renown is a rooster that takes himself VERY seriously, one with which I wouldn't want to tangle. I have vivid, childhood memories of being flogged by a particular rooster (more than once). Not pretty. The bird gave new meaning to the word "bully." He was my first and only bad relationship with a chicken.
