Day 1 The Story of a Mural

I was commissioned to paint a classroom mural for the primary school in the small town in which I live, so I begin...sketching the layout, which in this case is a montage of Harry Potter scenes
This is #5 mural for the school, so my work is getting to be familiar in the place. The work is slow for this mural. I have visitors in my home, so painting time is limited. I'm parceling the painting periods between cooking and entertaining. I'm not under pressure to finish before school begins in August, so it's OK. However, the hitch is that I'm not painting anything else. I'm trying to consciously work on values and THINKING about my process as I paint. I'm reading/listening to some resources trying to improve. I read an article recently that suggested focusing on IMPROVING rather than comparing my work with others. How much better am I today than yesterday? Am I improving? That is the issue. I'm doing all I can to accomplish daily improvement.
